Vision4ce (pronounced "Vision-Force") is pleased to announce our 6th year of participation in the upcoming SPIE DSS (Defense, Security, and Sensing) symposium from May 6-8, 2014 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore Maryland. SPIE DSS, http://spie.org/x6765.xml, is the world's largest unclassified event for defense, security, and sensing applications for industry and the environment. Stop by the Vision4ce exhibition stand (Booth 1113) to meet our team, learn about our products and services or visit us at www.vision4ce.com.
Among other hardware and software applications, Vision4ce will display our latest multi-function video processor and tracker that greatly extends performance in a size weight and power optimized package. The CHARM (Compact Hardware – ARM) is a new generation multi-function video processor & tracker that greatly extend performance in a size, weight, & power optimized package. Over 3 decades of Vision4ce's video tracking experience went into CHARM's design, making it the competitive choice for end users & system integrators.
Key CHARM features:
- Multiple target detection & tracking, including moving object detection, rejection of background clutter, & adaptive background removal.
- Centroid & edge measurement.
- Automatic coast.
- Feature-based correlational.
- Gray level invariant algorithms.
You can find additional details on the cutting edge technology at
The CHARM product uses the DART (Detection & Acquisition, with Robust Tracking) detection and target tracking software hosted on an embedded multicore ARM processor board for video tracking and image processing applications. The CHARM board is a standalone video tracker board for embedded applications which allows direct connection to standard video and data interfaces. It is designed to ensure reliable operation in harsh environments where the unit is subjected to shock and vibration as well as extended operating temperature ranges. As with all the Vision4ce products (e.g., PCs, DVRs and Video Management Systems), the CHARM is an affordable, rugged, real-time deployable solution offering a price to performance ratio unmatched by conventional embedded products.
In addition, our own Gordon Cain will deliver a paper on "Improved Target Recognition Using Dedicated Video Architecture – Meet CHARM", co-author by John Thornton. In this paper, Vision4ce will discuss our multi-core coherent software structured approach, which includes several automatic configuration functions to reduce integration time and complexity with a consequential cost saving. We also discuss how the CHARM can be integrated effectively into a dynamic closed-loop control application.
As one of over 500 companies that will be on hand at the SPIE DSS event in Baltimore, we encourage you to come experience the newest products, latest innovations and cutting-edge technologies in optics, lasers, sensors, image processing, spectroscopy, infrared systems and optoelectronic components.
Vision4ce specializes in the provision of rugged computer and rugged DVR hardware and based on both NVIDIA and AMD GPGPU capability and CUDA and Open CL applications. Vision4ce tracker software is used for real-time image processing, video tracking with image stabilization and image fusion features. Our tracker software and our electro-optical (EO) sensor video management supports defense, security, surveillance and aerospace market sectors. Our engineers have a strong background in the development, integration and deployment of solutions for challenging real-world image processing, video management and EO system control applications.
