Dynetics and DARPA X-61A Gremlins Air Vehicle (GAV) Program

30 - 06 - 2022

Vision4ce is very proud to have been part of the Dynetics and DARPA X-61A Gremlins Air Vehicle (GAV) Program team, whose success and innovation was recently recognized by the National Aeronautic Association 2021 Robert J. Collier Trophy selection committee.

A derivative of Vision4ce’s CHARM100 Video Tracker was selected by our commercial partner Sierra Nevada Corporation, to bring high resolution, low latency image processing, video encoding and streaming to the GAV.

The overarching goal of the Gremlins Program, managed by DARPA’s Tactical Technology Office, was to demonstrate aerial launch and recovery of multiple low-cost reusable unmanned aerial drones. The Vision4ce Video Tracker incorporates novel target detection and tracking techniques to assist in the drone positioning during the final phases of the recovery operation.

Low Latency Video Streaming With Vision4ce’s CHARM 100NX

01 - 02 - 2022

Did you know our CHARM100 range of video processing hardware supports low latency video streaming. Our low SWaP hardware platforms can capture multiple video inputs (from analog video to 3G-SDI), encode and stream them using RTSP or MPEG-TS with delays of less than 40ms (2 frames). Video capture and streaming can be combined with our video processing functions such as tracking, classification, stabilization and image fusion to provide a flexible and powerful image processing sub-system.

UAV Applications For ISR Border Surveillance

21 - 06 - 2021

Need mission critical hardware and software for video tracking image processing applications? Vision4ce has designed and developed robust video trackers, including image processing solutions designed for critical operations were video imagery and recording information is vital for border control, rescue missions, public safety and surveillance missions.

These highly reliable units contained on low swap boards provide high quality imagery enabling a robust control of onboard gimbals allowing the high precision of tracking objects on land, sea and air. The intelligent software allows route tracking target movement direction and prediction location, even when the visual target tracking is lost. The target tracking feature can be automatically activated or manually controlled when the target is in the field of view on the camera, providing real time imagery.

The video data can also be recorded for gathering information and for Classification training using the AI function where this is part of the integrated product.
